Another location shot...

Due to difficulties concerning transport, I will be using a field which is near my house for the outside scene. This is going to produce the same atmosphere and it has very good photographics shots which I can use for my magazine cover and poster.

I will still be using my bedroom for the bedroom scene as this is the location I need and want for one element for my practical production so there are no difficulties there.

I will keep you up to date with any problems that I may come across throughout my personal production.

FILMING ON MONDAY!!

Practical production will begin on Monday the 19th of December.. woo!!

All my actors are available on this day and I have my location sorted, the only thing I need to do is to get filming equipment sorted and start filming.

Before this day, I will make sure that I redraft my storyboard and make a script so that my actors know what they are going to say. This wont take long and I will also be able to show this in front of my focus group tomorrow.

A mix up with the actors...

Due to circumstances beyond my control, the actors which I have said that I will be using I will not be using. This is because they cannot possible make the times which I can do. Therefore, I will need to rearrange my actors.

For my male and female leads will be played by Diana Howes and Solay Elibol. I have chosen these two to be my male and female leads because they have great chemistry together and it helps that they are a couple off the screen. Also, I can easily get these two to act in my teaser trailer.

My female support will be played by Amy Patterson who was going to play my female lead but because I can't access anyone who has great chemistry with her as they are all doing there own media work or other work which means they can't be in my teaser trailer, I have chosen her to be this character. This is because I think she would be better suited for this character and therefore it will make my teaser trailer a lot better.

This website is very helpful when I have to look at making the poster and magazine cover for my practical production.

On the website link (http://www.dimensionsguide.com/poster-size/) it shows the dimensions of the different poster sizes across the world and which ones would be suitable for what you need to do. So, when I design my poster I will be looking at this website to get the most appropriate poster sizes for my final piece. Personally, this website is very helpful to me and I will be using it when I need to make my poster.

It also has a website link to magazine cover sizes (http://www.dimensionsguide.com/magazine-sizes/). This shows the dimensions of different magazines and this will help me in my final piece as this will help me to think of appropriate measurements for my magazine cover and what sort of dimensions I want it to make it look appealable to my target market.

After reviewing the website, I think that this website is a very helpful website as this will help me hugely when I need to make proper measurements for my poster and magazine cover.

What is going to be done over the next week!!

Over the next week, I will be drafting a script and getting everything ready for my practical production. I will have everything done so that I can then redraft the storyboard and the script so that my practical production is well done.

I will also be drafting a poster so that I have a rough idea of what I want my poster to look like. I will then redraft it so that it is well done and that it will help me gain the most amount of marks possible!!

My magazine cover which I will be making will also be drafted so that I have a rough idea of what this looks like before I make the real thing on the computer. This will also be redrafted so that it looks good.

All of these different elements of my practical production will be shown to my focus group and I will get their opinions on what they think looks good so that all of the elements that I must create will be targeted to my target market effectively!!

Focus group!!

My focus group will consist of 3 people. These people will be members of the target audience which I have decided to aim this teaser trailer at. This means that whatever I design, layout for my poster and magazine cover and the storyboard for my teaser trailer, will be seen by them first and then their opinion on how I can make it better will be provided in separate posts on my blog. I have decided to do this because I will get more information about the separate elements that I must deign and what I can do to make it better and it will tell me what my target audience are looking for exactly. Obviously, I have an idea of what my target market want as I have found these out from the questionnaire which I distributed on facebook. I will be recording their answers by recording them talking about my designs or by writing down what they think or both. I will keep you updated with what my focus group like/dislike about my teaser trailer, magazine cover and poster.

Editing techniques and different camera positions to use!!

As I will be using iMovie to edit my teaser trailer, the editing techniques which I will be using will be limited as I will only be able to use the different editing techniques which that programme offers me. The different editing techniques which I will, for definite, be using are fade in and fade outs. You may be thinking why I'm using this editing technique but it is because the genre of film that I have decided to use uses this quite a lot in their teaser trailers. They do this because it adds a form of suspense to it which could be very beneficial for me as this is what I want my teaser trailer to do to a degree. Another editing technique which I will use is merging two shots together. To do this, I will need to film two shots of what I need and then layer them on top of each other. I think this would be useful in my teaser trailer as, when I show a mirror scene of the female lead crying, I will also show the male lead who is supposed to be dead but to take him out of the shot I could either edit him out or layer two shots on top of each other. This will be used as when I looked at other teaser trailers and movie where they show the deceased loved one in a mirror, they layered two shots on top of each other and therefore this is what I will do.

The different camera positions that I will be using are panning, close ups, medium shots and reverse-shot-reverse. These will be used because they are appropriate for what I need to film and I think that they will be better to use than another camera position where it doesn't show what I want in the shot very well. This is a close up shot. I want to use this camera technique because I want the viewer to be able to feel the emtoion that the actors will be portraying. This is how it will be done and this is the sort of camera technique that I will be using.

This is a medium shot and I will be using this when I want to expose more of the character. I will be using this because emotion can not only be seen in the facial expressions, but also in the boyd language that the actors will be doing. This is a shot that I will be using more of.

This shot I will be using because I need to show a bit of conversation between the female lead and the female support. I need to do this because if I don't show what my teaser trailer is about, then I have lost my audience immediately because they won't feel motivated to go and watch the film.
